The main reason our talks fell apart was the buyout protection he was demanding.

Good. We don't need any coaches who aren't confident they can stay above .500

I'm glad we have someone who wants to be here as opposed to someone who is only here for an easy paycheck and a buyout after tanking for a few seasons.

Hopefully that passion will translate to success on the field.

What? You think Drink would want to tank here? He’s 36.

We hired a geriatric position coach that is going to make 3M per year for 2-3 and then burn out and retire.

We’re amazing at rationalizing total failure.

Mizzou goes and offers 4M and we offer less than the B team high school coach we just fired.

By the looks of it, he’s going to hire a bunch of his buddies who are “good men”, the stadium will be empty and we may win 3-4 games next year.

I’ll give him a chance but I’m incredibly skeptical. Probably more so than when we hired Chaggit.

Will wait on the staff before total melt.

Lol. He wants to be here because we offered him 3x what he was making. Had another school offered he more he’d really want to be there.
