Ignored his advice, and accepted a job at one of LSU’s “rivals” and divisonal opponent. Seems like lane has givin O the finger and said watch me do it better than you did.

Why would he take it personal? Regardless they had that conversation about what O thought about the job, that shows a level of respect from Kiffin. O also understands Kiffin is coming from FAU. Even missouri is borderline an upgrade from FAU

O just gave his boy some sage advise. No big deal that Lane didn't listen

Hope Lane doesn't take it personal when O and LSU blow them out every year

O and Kiffen are similar, both got first shots at HC when too young and ignorant, immature...Os second chance at LSU...Kiff at the Rebs...only difference is Kiff has a football mind...O is a dline coach managing good coaches

Lane’s been a Head Coach with the Oakland Raiders, the Tennessee Volunteers, the University of Southern California and Florida Atlantic.

So this is like his 5th chance.

But other than that, you completely nailed this post. Great job.

O also tried to take the USC job after they fired his friend (lane). I think they both understand the nature of the coaching business is. Gotta take the opportunities when presented or else you might not get another shot. Hence why I doubt he was upset that Lane took the FAU gig instead of coming to BR to take the OC gig. Dont know whats coming back at FAU but Lane had a shot at two SEC jobs this season. Had to take one of them.

Uh, it seems to me that “O” has the perfect coordinators to win a title. I doubt “O” is crying.
