As long as they kiss their rosary beads...party like a rock stay at weddings..confess to the local priest who volunteers at boyscouts..and attend mass twice a year. Moar power to em. Now... whew...that felt ironically cathartic lol

I'm Catholic myself. I included the detail a) becaue Biddy brought it up on a thread and 2) to demonstrate how great of a fit he would be for the Big 10 or especially Notre Dame.

On the topic of Catholicism...

Did it never occur to people that the entire reason they do the confessional thing is so the church has a means to leverage control over the citizenry? I mean good grief, the priest has everyone's dirt.

It's dumb.

Lou Holtz was a devout Catholic from Ohio. Guess he shouldn't have been considered a candidate for the Arkansas coach. Coaching search speculation makes my fricking head hurt.

Especially all of this "Bielema 2.0" nonsense. It's some of the laziest rationale I've ever seen.

Catholicism is not huge in the south, or in Arkansas in particular. Not sure what he meant, but the Catholic folks where I live stick to themselves and don't really fit in well. It is their preference to do so.

Hmm, it’s not like that where I’m at. We all mesh well, I heard semi horror stories from my parents age folks but when I grew up it was never a thing. The worst we got was people thinking we were rich or stuck up til they got to know us because we went to a private school. Maybe it’s my softball years playing in the league in town but I always had non catholic friends and hung with them throughout my growing up years and beyond and so have the younger gens in my fam.

I only stated facts. Truth hurts I guess.

The leader of the communist party in america in the 60s proudly stated in speech that they had intentionally infiltrated the church in an attempt to subvert and destroy it. They had members as high as the cardinal ranks, and have successfully stolen power from the top through an act that gave power to the local levels which they had strong control of. This current pope seems to be one of them.

The pedo stuff is quite well documented.

Also the lucifer, and Saturn worship is blatant. You just do not recognize the symbolism which they proudly display.

communist take over of church

quote:

The 1983 video shows Bezmenov explaining that the demoralization process in the US had already been completed to a degree beyond the wildest dreams of the top leadership in the Kremlin.
“This process was done by Americans to Americans thanks to a lack of morals. Most of the people educated in the 1960s, intellectuals are now occupying the positions of power in the government, civil service, mass media and the education system. You are stuck with them,” Bezmenov points out.
However, Bezmenov omitted mentioning that the Catholic Church was one of the main targets of the Communists.
Former Communist Bella Dodd spoke on the Communist infiltration of the Catholic Church. Dodd, an important Communist party lawyer, teacher and activist, converted to Catholicism in April 1952 under the tutelage of Bishop Fulton J. Sheen. Stating that the Communist infiltration was so extensive that in the future "you will not recognize the Catholic Church,” Dodd testified before the U.S. House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC). She said, "In the 1930s, we put eleven hundred men into the priesthood in order to destroy the Church from within. The idea was for these men to be ordained, and then climb the ladder of influence and authority as Monsignors and Bishops.”
According to Catholic philosopher and professor Alice von Hildebrand, who was a friend of Dodd, she told her that “when she was an active party member, she had dealt with no fewer than four cardinals within the Vatican who were working for us, [i.e. the Communist Party].”

catholic pedophilia

quote:

From Australian country towns to schools in Ireland and cities across the US, the Catholic Church has faced an avalanche of child sexual abuse accusations in the last few decades.
High-profile cases and harrowing testimony given to public inquiries have continued to keep the issue in the headlines.
In the most recent of these, Cardinal George Pell was convicted of abusing two choir boys in Melbourne in 1996 . He is Australia's highest-ranking Catholic, and was previously Vatican treasurer - meaning he was widely seen as the Church's third most powerful official.
And Theodore McCarrick, a former cardinal in the US, was defrocked over abuse claims just 10 days earlier - making him the most senior Catholic figure to be dismissed from the priesthood in modern times.

saturn, and other pagan god symbolism within Catholicism

quote:

Who Is The Roman Catholic Church Really Worshiping?

This study will reveal the meaning of the symbols, statues and attire used by the Pope and priests, as they reveal what the Papal Church is really worshiping.
For thousands of years Pagan religions have used symbols to show which gods they worshiped.  These symbols were declared openly in Egypt, Babylon, Rome and other cultures.
These symbols are still used today, but their true meanings are hidden.

Most people typically don’t notice the symbol or they have a positive impression of it.

The enlightened understand the meaning behind the symbols, and they use them to communicate with others.

Leaders of a Christian Church should not have anything to do with the symbols of pagan gods.

“For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God.” 2 Corinthians 6:14,16

If you’re Catholic, ask yourself why the leaders of the Roman Catholic Church are using all of these symbols of pagan gods.
The Zucchetti which is worn by Catholic priests, cardinals and the Pope, represents respect, fear and submission to Cybele, the Mother Goddess of Rome.

Lucifer worship in the vatican

quote:

While the Catholic Church claims it needs more exorcists, according to Papal insider (and now deceased) Jesuit theologian, Malachi Martin, the Catholic Church may need an exorcist.
Martin, who died in 1996, says that at the height of the Second Vatican Council in Rome, there was a ceremony to enthrone Lucifer in the Vatican (and the Chair of Peter). The church in question, Saint Paul’s chapel within the Vatican walls, hosted a very different rite of Mass on January 29, 1963, just one week after the election of Pope Paul VI. (Years later, according to Fr. Martin, Pope Paul VI would write a note to his successor, John Paul II, and tell him of this ceremony.) Paul VI is also famous for his statement, "The smoke of Satan has entered the sanctuary."

As the downvotes I am sure to get will come. I take them a testament to what yuri warned the US about. No matter how much evidence you shower one with the demoralization process is complete and irreversible.

This doesn't even get into the catholic church selling fake bones as relics, and selling tokens to get out of purgatory.

But yes what I said is just "prejudice bullshite" and not documented fact.

Pretty sure Petrino was catholic. Don’t think Arkansas fans would care much if they win.

Let's get back to discussing coaches.

I will support whoever HY chooses as our coach as long as they don't suck at coaching.
