Pretty long chain of posts and I've not read all. But it seems that if Nick had the opinion espoused, then all the more reason to not have the guy in the game under the circumstances. Failing a decision to yank 2-A at the critical juncture, you at least have him simply hand the ball off or run some other play that doesn't have the kid being chased down by 2 defenders (even if said defenders hail from "...a vastly inferior opponent..." like Miss State. NOT MY WORDS)

I think a bigger issue may present itself going forward with recruiting the Polynesian guys. I would have liked to have been a fly on the wall as nick explained the situation to 2-A's parents and family! Alabama is not the only SEC team with Poly guys as LSU has made inroads as well in that regard.

Now, LSU (and others) have fodder on Nick to the effect: "...he doesn't have the kids best interest at heart. See what he did to Tua! Plus similar conduct while at Miami indicates he simply doesn't care about anything but putting another notch in his belt. Do you really want to entrust your kid to a coach who will sacrifice anyone and everyone to advance his own ego..."!!!

P/S: I posted this then jumped to the post, only to see the prior post by AU4real35. So yes, I see the irony and obviously, agree somewhat with the overall premise of the initiating post.
