quote:You would be well served to understand the difference between cadets and veterans. They are cadets at Texas A&M. Some of them are prior service (e.g. veterans). Among the cadets, some are under contract to eventually commission and serve in the Armed Services. Lots of nuances. None of the cadets are asking for respect. But the institution as a whole deserves tremendous respect for what it has done historically in providing commissioned officers in service to our Nation.
I respect the military. I guess as an extension I respect TAMU students/grads WHO HAVE SERVED IN THE MILITARY. I don’t respect Aggies who, based on their attendance at A&M expect veteran recognition or imply they served

I understand the difference between cadets and veterans. ROTC also exists at many/most colleges. I’m not comparing those individuals to the fake ones who attach attending a college to serving.
And to the Aggies responding, you always ignore anything posted by “your” fans & never call them out. So why provide this for you?

Sir, I'm disappointed that you missed two key demographics: Drilling reservists/guardsmen and ROTC cadets enrolled in the Simultaneous Membership Program.
