I respect the military. I guess as an extension I respect TAMU students/grads WHO HAVE SERVED IN THE MILITARY. I don’t respect Aggies who, based on their attendance at A&M expect veteran recognition or imply they served. Basically equal to the hoards of recent “lifetime” Bama t-shirt fans who never watched a game pre-Saban.

I'd like to see specific examples of this. But I'm getting a feeling that these examples don't exist.

What the heck? Who does that?
An Aggie wouldn’t respect someone like that.

I honestly think some of y’all either make these assumptions on your own or just make up stuff.

Mercy. This thread needs an anchor.

You would be well served to understand the difference between cadets and veterans. They are cadets at Texas A&M. Some of them are prior service (e.g. veterans). Among the cadets, some are under contract to eventually commission and serve in the Armed Services. Lots of nuances. None of the cadets are asking for respect. But the institution as a whole deserves tremendous respect for what it has done historically in providing commissioned officers in service to our Nation.
