Projecting an LSU loss and rematch in Atlanta.

quote:

Quick bite: Nobody wants to see this early-November rematch seven weeks later in the Playoff, but you can blame Oklahoma for opening up the possibility. SEC chaos now has potential if Alabama-LSU Part I lives up to its much-anticipated billing and the loser of that one finishes 11-1. In LSU's case in particular, it would be hard to leave out a team that's beaten several nationally-ranked teams with a Heisman frontrunner at quarterback and record-setting efficiency numbers. What complicates matters for the SEC's two-team hopes is if LSU beats Alabama on Saturday. Then it would take a one-loss Georgia beating an unbeaten LSU in Atlanta to secure a spot for the Bulldogs.

LSU beats Bama and UGA, goes on to lose to OSU (who beats Bama in the semis) for the title.

ETA: And the Gators eat bloomin onions with Harbaugh in Tampa

Lsu's not getting into the playoff after losing to alabama. Their schedule's not strong enough to get in over a one loss pac 12 or big 12 champion. It just isn't.

They've sucked that alabama "battle tested" teet dry. Texas is shitty, auburn drops two more and florida is only "ok".

It's just not a very strong schedule.

The powers will do everything they can to get a west coast team in. Oregon has to win out and hope Utah does same. They will pump both to make sure this matchup looks legit.

They will do their best to keep Bama as low as they can hoping for a close LSU game or victory...to keep Bama out.

Minnesota and Baylor staying undefeated really help the likely one loss OK and Penn State teams arguments.

Regardless, the man doesn’t want to see Clemson and Bama and they have little control over Clemson.
