Insider talk says it’s not nearly as bad as last year. I played and I know what a sever injury a high ankle is. He walked off the field and into the locker room without a limp, I’ve never seen a high ankle do that. He was supposed to be non-weight bearing for 10 days but he was in a walking boot 7 days later at the Arky game.
Cam Robinson couldn’t put any weight on his coming off the field a few years ago. We shall see but I think and pray Tua will be 90% or so.

I guess the Tigers that said that Saban was sandbagging were correct. TRant is so smart.

Read where he wasn't in a boot they just made him wear one on the sideline.

Let me dissect this.
Non-weight bearing for 4-5 days. Because there was no swelling this time, this time was shortened to about 3.
He was off the scooter and in the walking boot about 5 days later. He was actually out of it the week of the Arkansas game but wore it for the game as a precaution if a player ran into him.
And played 2 weeks later. Another Bama player had this procedure and was practicing 7 days later. This is the normal timeframe.
This surgery provides stability and quickens recovery time. That's why it was created.
All indications from the beginning was his recovery is ahead of schedule. People inside the program indicate he'll be close to 100%.

Good. Bama at 100% then, right?

I agree. He wasn't even limping after spraining his ankle. Indeed, there was no inflammation and swelling and that's why his recovery is so fast.

I have. He may have had it retaped in the ten as well which would also help. He may have gotten pain meds in the tent too. There are a lot of possibilities as to why he wasn't limping at the time.

So Tua tweaked his ankle and still had surgery?
I'm not doubting any of this, but just curious as to why NFL teams don't do this more often.

Hopefully that's true for the young man

I dont doubt it, Who really gives a shite. Alabama will put a QB on the field, and that's who we will beat.

Yeah they drill through the bone in your leg and thread nylon through it for all minor ankle injuries

Cam Robinson had a Judge in Louisiana reminding him how practices in the heat allowed him get a ride to the locker room.
