I distinctly remember some fairly potent offenses in Donnan's days. I also remember our defense was rarely all that great. Or was that Goff?

Both. Goff tried to outscore everybody with Zeier and an 'air raid' offense, but the defense was rarely good. Donnan had a decent offense, but went thru defensive coordinators like a roll of Life-Savers.
