Its damn near criminal what the Muschamp and McElwain hires did to Florida.
UF should be top 3.

Recruiting wasn't a problem under Muschamp. We had 9 5* and 38 4* on the 2013 team.

Part of recruiting that is underrated IMO is talent retention. That is convincing your Juniors to stay for their senior season.

Under Miles LSU was decimated every year due to Juniors leaving for the NFL. Last year Coach O convinced a lot of Juniors to stay (most importantly, Lawrence, Divinity, and Fulton).

Dan Mullen did an excellent job of talent retention at MSU. When they were good under Mullen he had a lot of players that were fifth year three stars.

There are a small number of truly elite recruits every year, but then the difference between most of the four stars, three stars, and some of the two stars isn't that great. There are plenty of two and three stars that have the potential to be great college players.

He recruited well on defense but not so good on offense.
His classes were imbalances and would leave holes at certain positions.
