Honestly, I like playing Florida every year. It’s always a fun game. I can’t think of another east opponent i’d Rather play regularly other than Georgia maybe.

Though it would be fun to beat up on mizzou more often. Mizz-poo sucks.

Nobody seems to remember Manning and UT pushing Bama’s shite in for years. They won 7 in a row and 10 of 12 games from 95 to 2006. Nobody was bitching about the TSIO then. Y’all loved seeing the Vols whip our azz.

When do you start typing about refs, Steve Shaw and Ritter, the FBI, no hot chocolate in Fayetteville when it is cold... waaaahhhhhh, honk OMG it’s so unfair,

Keep this in mind Pierre, losing to Florida hasn't kept LSU out of the SEC champ game ever. And it hasn’t really caused LSU to finish no better than third in the SEC West the last few years. But go ahead and publically wail and gnash teeth... better yet run to the big XII where they will welcome your opinion about who should play who. LUSers.... wow, just wow.

Tfear is strong in this thread.

Muh SEC headquarters in Bham, muh Flurida, muh refs.

Swamptrash be scared as frick.

9 in a row will really hurt. Can't wait till we get to double digits next year at our 2nd home in Baton Rouge ..

What's next , y'all gonna start whining about having to play Bama every year.. divisions are not fair ..

Here's the bottom line gist of this thread.

Tennessee is an auto win for Bama and will be for the foreseeable future.

No team in college football history has had an easier time with their supposed rival than Alabama has bad with Tennessee.

Plenty of us can imagine Bama running off 20+ consecutive wins over Tennessee .... and that's just not right when we're talking cross divisional permanent rivals. If the tables were turned Bama fans would agree.

There is no redeeming value in the Bama vs Tennessee TSIO game anymore. It's over, it's history yet it is affecting the entire conference in a negative manner.

That's all we're saying.

I mean even a blind pig finds an acorn from time to time but not Tennessee ... and the game has become an embarrassment. If nothing else Bama should show some mercy.

On the other hand there is something particularly delicious about it being Bama who gets to inflict so much pain on the Vols after what the Vols and Pfat Phil did in the Albert Means case. So I get that.

But what is happening right now is bad for the conference.

Let Auburn come to the East, make Auburn Bama's permanent cross division rival and everything will be right in the world. Think of the possibilities.

It's the way things should be and we ALL know it.

If you guys post crybaby cross division schedule threads on the secrant a little more often, those of us that make the sec schedules may consider changing things for you.

When these games were setup, Tennessee was the #2 SEC team. Alabama was actually given the most difficult opponent possible.

LSU and Florida were matched up because you were seen as being equal at the time historically.

So basically, you're crying because Alabama and Florida have increased in that time, while LSU has not been able to keep up.

Out of curiosity, what team do you think Alabama should play in that spot every year instead of Tennessee?

Or is it just a matter of LSU being scared of Florida? Because for some odd reason, it's always LSU fans that seem to cry about the game, rarely Florida fans(ok, I can't think of any Florida fans that cry about it, but I'll assume it happens).

You all agreed to it at expansion, and it was a condition of expanding the SEC. UGA, Auburn, Bama and UT would have vetoed.

It is not Bama's fault that UT has fallen and cannot get up, and I did not see you all complaining during the years that UF was 4-8 and whatever they were in that last year under McElwain.

I agree with you OP but I’m only your third upvote and the Georgia and Auburn fans refuse to give up their precious dsor and at least the old guard at Bama refuses to give up tsio. If I had the power I would swap AU and Mizzou then immediately do away with permanent cross divisional games. I’d rotate them evenly.

I've never understood why LSU whines about this. The only team that should be complaining is Tennessee. We're the only team in the conference that is put at a disadvantage every year in division play because a loss to BAMA counts the same as a loss to a team in the East. Georgia, Florida, et al don't start the year with an auto-loss.

You have to be cognizant of the FACT that certain other schools WANT/NEED to keep their own permanent opponents so they can have an easier path to bowl games...i.e. Ole Ms/Vandy/KY/ARky/MO/SC ALL want to keep the easier opponent and will NEVER vote for a 'balance/fair' schedule !
