Why does Auburn think they're good now?

Let's try to remember the Oregon game. You looked so bad that the concensus on tRant was A&M was going to stomp you by 10. You pulled off that win but it turns out A&M is garbage and more on the Arkansas level.
Now you're talking about #1 and winning the west. You will finish ranked somewhere between 14-20 with a 9-3 or possibly 8-4 record depending how tomorrow goes.
You are going into the swamp way too confident. Yes, Florida hasn't looked great either. But I view the 2 of you almost equally right now. They're at home and coming off a cupcake.
Florida by 3 in a low scoring game.

If I’m calling like I see it they’ll run Florida off the field. They have the best defense in sec west.

Auburn is content where we are at #7. Top 10 is certainly good. Win out and we’ll be fine. We are certainly better than last year. Something changed in Gus before the bowl game last year. I was at that game and noticed. Others have noticed also. He seems more comfortable this year. Doesn’t mean we’ll beat everyone, but we are better.

Why does Bama think they are good? Getting beat down against the last quality team they played (because last year counts for preseason rankings) or because they beat Duke this year?

Because they are fans dumbass. That is what fans do. Auburn has as good a chance as anyone in the sec west right now. If they were not excited and thinking about beating Alabama, LSU, and Georgia I would doubt they were true fans.

Auburn is improving on O, has one of the best defenses in the country (particularly the front 7), and in general, seems to be riding a wave of momentum and confidence...Gus is calling plays like 2013 and they are often being executed that well. If you didn't see 2013 Auburn in that Mississippi State game, I don't know what to tell you.
As far as Saturday is concerned, like Auburn, UF is going to be kept in every game by their badass D...I don't like their prognosis on O vs Auburn, but if Auburn has any weakness, it's the secondary (although I wouldn't characterize it as a weakness)...but if Trask has a great game while UF effectively pressures Bo Nix into some mistakes, UF absolutely can win and probably will in that case.
My prediction, UF won't run for 100 yards...will be 1-dimensional, which you can't do vs Auburn. Auburn has success in a balanced attack and wins in a low-ish scoring affair: 24-17
