Is the Joker guy gone finally? Man what an embarrassing schtick. Joker is already a character that only weirdos associate and identify with and then he somehow combines it with football and wears a lime green wig.

I wanna say he graduated in 2017 or 2018. Had some friends who knew him. He was a Sig Ep and was apparently pretty successful/smart. Go figure

Well calling for a red out is kind pointless since that's out standard home jerseys

the spike squad isn't calling for the team to wear black, they're asking the fans to wear black.
My point is our fans should alwasy be wearing red to home games, IMO.

I mean that's the whole point of a black out unless you're just entirely against one

They only bothered me when they(mostly underclassmen) demanded SECCG tickets when I was a senior in 2012 and most of my friends also seniors weren’t getting them

You just fricking told me I couldn't go wrong either way. frick, Dubs....

speaking of the topic..how do they get front row at venues other than sanford? Home games are obvious but at the dome or away games, do they just approach the ticket holders and ask if they'll switch seats with them or somethign?

But that's also the point on why the black jerseys are such an issue - because it's never just "ok, we're wearing them today" and *always* has to be a hype-job. If it is truly an alternate, it should not be a big deal to wear them.
Doing a blackout - if it is ever to be done - should be for something meaningful, not just because the team will be wearing a different jersey. Otherwise, it *is* purely a gimmick.

Also, with black jerseys, game time/temperature is a consideration. Don’t want players wearing black on a sunny, hot game day.
Night is perfect.
And vs ND? What program has a greater football legacy?
We don’t need black to play better or win. We should never wear black if that’s part of the equation. It’s about having fun. Doing something a little different, but that collectively connects the fans & players. Everyone wearing black.
This game is perfect for a blackout. More so than any other game on our schedule. Hosting ND for the first time, ever. It’s a special occasion & is at night.
People really want to wait till TAMU. How special is wearing black against a 3 or 4 loss A&M?
Who else on our schedule is worth wearing the black? In 2019, it’s Notre Dame or nobody.

For anything other than nighttime kicks, I agree. I just think the fans should always wear black for night games.
The only way to inoculate the half of the fan base that's gone straight up retarded from CMRPTSD when it comes to wearing the black jerseys is to wear them more.
It should never be for motivation, but rather a chance for a great game environment. If the crowd gets more amped at that, then even better.

I don’t understand this. Why? I wear red most of the times, but sometimes I wear black and sometimes I wear white.
Unless the team is specifically trying to make it a “red-out” or a “black-out”, why should I care which team color I wear?

"Who else on our schedule is worth wearing the black?"
It's not an alternative uniform if "worth" has to be considered.

Not sure if this means anything but the cheerleaders are being asked to show up in black

I think they usually wear black uniforms at night games anyway but That won’t atop the rumor mill.
