After that ankle injury five weeks into the season, Jacobs got nine carries against Arkansas, nine carries against Tennessee, six carries against Mississippi State and six carries against Auburn. If Jacobs was so hampered by the ankle injury, how come he was getting so much burn immediately following that injury?

is 21 carries in 3 games considered a lot of "burn" to you?

It was only during the more important games (LSU and two CFB Playoff games) that Jacobs' playing time was drastically reduced.

Against UGA Bo had 5 touches, and Jacobs had 5 touches.

Not sure about LSU, and Clemson, but who gives a frick, seeing as how we dominated those games as a team.

Derrick Henry and Mark Ingram(both Heisman winners) aint too shabby either.

Must be tough putting out busts at RB like LSU does.

and he never started a game at Alabama. Never got the majority of carries in any game. Makes Saban look like an idiot tbh. People don’t want to admit it, but Saban sucks at fielding his best players.

I remember Derrick Henry's last season that he got like 80% of the carries the narrative was that Saban runs his players into the ground before they get to the NFL. Now he doesn't play his best players ENOUGH.

You idiots need to pick one narrative and stick with it.

Alexander played a year longer than Dwight Stephenson and he's in the HOF.

Dwight Stephenson was the best NFL center to ever shite between a pair of football shoelaces. He NEVER was recorded with allowing a sack in his career. With players like that, # of years in the league aren't as important.

PS-I hope Alexander makes it, too!

Didn't you get banned from the alabama board for being an idiot?

No I got banned for having too many (correct) controversial opinions.

You were one of the people wanting me banned for saying Tua was better than Hurts in 2017. You’re the fricking idiot.

All of the intelligent posters - banned.
That’s why the board is boring and stagnant now. Opinionated people aren’t allowed

That wasn’t me bro. I was saying all season that they should run DHenry more. It took them a long time to figure out they could have him run 30+ times a game and wear a defense down. Glad the coaches finally caught on. They still don’t understand that in Tennessee

Also, speaking of Derrick Henry, it’s a shame that he only started for one season. Another mistake

To think, we could’ve had the Jake Coker/Derrick Henry offense with Lane Kiffin for 2 seasons, and won 2 titles.
Saban blew it. Just saying...

Well none of the others (sans Ingram) are any good so yea I’d say he has a good chance.

I always thought he was incredible in his short appearances at Bama. Dude reminds me of Guice kind of. Very violent.

I think he is just loyal to guys once they become starters and play well. That was shown in 2017 when he played Jalen over Tua when Jalen was awful and last year when he wouldn’t name Tua the starter because he didn’t wanna hurt Jalens feelings.

Damien Harris was the starter and was playing well so Nick stuck with him as RB1......even though everyone knew Jacobs was even better

Exactly. Thanks, you hit the nail on the head.

Starting Harris over Jacobs is fine but what’s the excuse for an ineffective Bo Scarbrough getting almost 3x as many carries as Jacobs in 2017?

Jacobs was injured a good bit.
