Meh. Mizzou’s defense blocks like crap. Tennessee much better.

And let's not forget what a dumpster fire that is Ole Miss football
173 total yards and 10 points vs Memphis

Maybe our best safety tandem in forever.
It’s hard to tell, I know. Maybe squint or something.

Also, in fairness, their QB runs at least a 4.7 40. Blinding speed.

You’re killing it today
Well done.

That one had to suck because unlike Tennessee, Missouri just gave it away. Score should have been 45-28 or something.

And does Wyoming have the ugliest color combo in college football or what?

I’m not sure they should’ve even scored 28.
Ridiculous defense. It wasn’t until well into the second half that their QB attempted his 5th pass. And we still couldn’t stop them.
But the 4-2-5 will certainly work this week. This is going to be the week.

That University/State cowboy logo is badass though

You guys had 2 turnovers inside the 10, one of which directly resulted in 3 the other way right? So basically a 17 point swing on those 2 plays alone.
It's hard to beat Prairie View doing that. Sucks.

Yeah...our boys didn't play well. Seems like every year, there is one game where our Tigers just about do everything bad and everything wrong. In recent years: South Carolina in that monsoon, Indiana and Purdue....both at home. Hoping we got it out of the way early...but we'll see.

This is why I haven’t completely given up on the season. This is still a talented team, our DL is a problem though. The reasons we lost that game were 100% on us and stuff that technically IS fixable...tackling, assignment turnovers.
Even considering the perfect shitstorm of folly that it was (2 first and goal at the 1 that end in turnovers) we win the game if Bryant throws it to the right guy on the last play.
I still think this team has a good chance of beating 10 out of the 11 teams remaining on the schedule but not playing like that obviously

Agree, I wouldn't either. That game sucked and the coaching staff should be held accountable, but it was a bit fluky in the way it happened. Some bad shite in there, but also some stuff that you can't expect to keep happening (though mostly occurring due to poor decisions/judgement/etc, turnovers in the redzone).

2 things:
1) why can’t we play Mizzou early in the season?
2) Coincidence that Wyoming cost Fulmer his job.

It’s reasonable to expect tackling to improve. That’s something that generally gets better as the season wears on. On both of their long run plays (about 40% of their total offense on the night) we had a chance to bring the guy down near the LOS
The turnover stuff is something that coaches like to talk a lot about cleaning up, but Odom’s teams have pretty much always been negative on the turnover battle (one of his biggest issues). Color me skeptical
My biggest concern, and it was before the season, is that our DEs are just bad. We just don’t have any talent here at the moment. The only SEC worthy guy we have was nearly kicked off the team in the offseason and hasn’t regained a starting role.
