They still have them I was just speaking of free forums. Gamecock Fanatics is a new one and has some really good articles but its site has to much graphics and bling.

Scout no longer exists. It was bought out by the owners of 247Sports (CBS Sports) and merged into 247Sports.

The Gamecock site that was once on Scout - GamecockAnthem - died a good while back, years before Scout.com died. The guy that bought the publishing rights to it wasn't all that Gamecock-centric, and the maintenance of the site fell off. They were posting videos and articles for other teams other than South Carolina on the home page, for starters.

A lot of the original people there - beginning with Doug Jolley - left and started an independent Gamecock site just for the remaining original posters, called GamecockNation.net. It's still active, but there's not a whole lot of activity there these days....

When 247Sports started up, they of course started their own Gamecock dedicated site named The Big Spur. So when the 247sports people bought out Scout, that remained the Gamecock site, and Gamecock Anthem was retired.

They did carry over UNC's Scout forum, called Inside Carolina, because it was still a pretty popular and maintained site right up to the last days of Scout.com....
