LSU has to beat Texas to be a contender . On the other hand A&M doesn’t have to bear Clemson but they should at least play them close ..
This is not a test of who is the contender but a test of who is NOT a contender. The real test of who is a contender comes when they face Bama .

Not sure I understand that logic. If LSU or TAMU get blown out this weekend I don’t think the Bama game can correct that.
