Sick of seeing dumb people putting Vanderbilt as the worst team in the SEC. They at worst should be Preseason power ranked at 11th ahead of Tennessee, Ole Miss, and Arkansas. As we all saw last year, Vanderbilt is a superior program to all 3.

There is a path for Vanderbilt to get to another bowl

1. Win all 3 winnable NC Games
2. Win at Ole Miss and at Tennessee(yes these are both road games but Vanderbilt is superior to both)
3. Win vs Kentucky, South Carolina, or Purdue (honestly all 3 of these could be wins but they are all slightly better than Ole Miss or Tennessee imo)

If Missouri and KB flops that could be another possibility. But yes drawing LSU from the West sucks and Georgia to start off the season is brutal but hey who knows Vanderbilt upset UGA a few years ago I suppose.

Anyways obviously losing Shumer who I was a fan of hurts, but the possibilities are still here this season imo.

I don't put down Vanderbilt. I like Mason and I like to see the Commodores win, except when playing Georgia, of course. I don't follow recruiting like others do so I feel the best place to ask questions about Vanderbilt is here.
I'm just trying to get a feel for what the game Saturday will be like. We'll be in town Friday and will be at the game.

We're used to it. Frankly, I prefer them being underrated, provided they are actually given credit when they do outperform on the field. But more typically that leads to the "well the SEC East is down this year" type comments. Just like how some recruits are dropped from 4 star to 3 star by virtue of committing to Vandy (yes, that happens)...

I wouldn’t write off Florida as a loss either, they did not look overly impressive and Vandy should have beat them the last 4 years but managed to melt down every time.

The LSU game is the only one remaining on the schedule that looks like a lost cause. Ole Miss, USCe, and Tennessee are a smorgasbord of the worst teams in the SEC. Plus you get Purdue, Northern Illinois, and FCS East Tennessee State. Missouri and Kentucky are certainly not invincible.

Assuming Vanderbilt doesn’t run the table I see 6 or 7 wins in there

What do you expect from the media?

VU is an academic school
UK is a basketball school

Most media never gets past these stereotypes but both Travis and Bayless went to Vandy but don't give the love.

As for the game, I felt pretty good for Vanderbilt.

#1 Was a veritable home game for Georgia
#2 Georgia is a serious CFP team
#3 Vanderbilt was not shut out
#4 Georgia did not beat them by 50+ points

I was a bit pissed off the jacked the ticket prices to around 120 per ticket (I was wanting 4, and at about 500 bucks and parking) so I passed.
