I’m at a loss too. It’s all semantics.

To be clear, I’m not saying MSU should receive punishment equal to what Missouri was given. I do think that Mizzou’s punishment was cruel, unjust, and excessively severe.

Maybe it’s time for schools to bring back a curriculum in which top flight student athletes can meet academic requirements via attendance and not through exams/quizzes/essays, etc.

Let the kids who want a real education pursue one. Let the kids using college as a stepping stone to a professional athletic career do their thing.

IDK. Seems the NCAA feels the need to make examples of lower-tiered P5 schools for no other reason than to maintain the facade of amateurism in college athletics.

Sucks and I totally empathize with the schools on the receiving end of the NCAA’s broomstick.
