Move A&M to home and home and our upcoming 4 games against Okie State to Dallas and try to sign a deal making that a longterm game played there.

Something like that may be what it takes to get out of the deal early, although Jerry would probably demand that A&M play a couple of neutral site non-conference games as well.

Or, we could just pass the hat, pay the $5 million liquidated damages, and tell Jerry to bite it. Probably not going to happen because the coaches seem to actually like it for recruiting. But, my hope is that ticket sales are so weak that the ADs opt not to sign an extension.

Only had about 56,000 seats sold last year (in a 100,000-seat stadium) and just north of 64,000 the season before.

So yeah, well on its way.

Ross Bjork is on TexAgs radio this morning and he just addressed this issue. He said the deal is up in 2024, and he wants to have 4 SEC home games every year, not every other year. So, if we stay with an 8 game schedule, I think the neutral site deal will not be extended, at least if Bjork is making the decision.
