I’ve heard Nix/Gatewood get compared to Fromm/Newton and Sean White/Jeremy Johnson.

Reality is probably somewhere in between, but it’s hilarious.

Gatewood has been held back enough for anyone paying attention to Gus to know there is some issue in Gus' mind.

Nix is an unknown quantity...he was a composite 5 star last season in High School. For other teams that has meant immediate on the field success in the recent past. We don't have the OL of most of those teams, but we do have an experienced OL so that should proof valuable.

Not I. I still get sick every time I come across last year's game on SEC Network.

Never say always or everyone or never .... I for one am not underestimating Auburn it's just that their schedule is a bitch.

Auburn, A&M and SC have three really tough schedules. All three will be beat up by the end of the season and the one that has the best depth and luck will have a really good season.

I agree. Auburn returns a lot of players. They’ll be a headache for sure.

It's one of those years where we can have a really good team and still lose 3-4 games. I think we'll be a tough test for anybody on our schedule though.

Everyone is underestimating Auburn

I’ll reiterate:

2 freshman QB’s
Below average returning offensive line
Entire new LB corps
Lack of depth at D line
New punt returner
1 decent returning RB, rest are freshman
Gus Malzahn is our coach

If they are getting 7 or more points against Lsu, Florida or A&M I might jump on that.

I don't disagree, but these are all the same things that were said last year as well, except they had a veteran QB

After back-to-back seasons of a true freshman QB winning the natty, I’d say that might be an advantage

I was wrong. Foolish of me to think Malzahn would choose the QB that is perfect for his system.

Exactly. Foolish to trust a coach who loses to Ed Orgeron. Ya’ll are in for a loooong season.
