I will, and most likely make some cash.

You're a true fan.

Yeah, I am, and here’s something for you to consider before you piss your money away.

UNC lost a lot from last year, even though they played some tight games down the stretch .... they still lost, and that was last year.

Transitions don’t apply more often than not from season to season.

At the same time, I get what you are thinking, I do. But chances are, more than likely, that SC will beat UNC handedly.

You’re got the mentor vs protege dynamic going on. You’ve got a familiar stadium going on and SC fans will outnumber UNC fans up there 4:1. You’ve got recruiting battles going on right now between SC and UNC for North Carolina instate talent. SC has a solid OLine returning and maybe, finally, a deep stable of running backs and definitely a loaded WR Corp. SC’s defense will be fresh and healthy and deep for the first time since Muschamp arrived. We’ll field a far superior special teams unit than will UNC. We’ve not lost to UNC since 1991. We bring a senior QB to the table and, finally, a couple of capable talented backups. SC is, across the board, bigger, faster and more physical than UNC. (Although Mack will get things going up there about like Holtz did here at the time, eventually.). But this first year for Mack, he’s just going to try to survive and get some energy and enthusiasm going up there.

Mack is 1-3 vs the Gamecocks .... all of those took place the last time he coached in Chapel Hill.

It may be a tough game for awhile given it is the first game, I get it ... even then SC will win by 10 or more.

You’re welcome to bookmark this and come back and rub it in my face if I am wrong, but I won’t be. That hook on that line is just that and you’ll see it go up by at least a couple of points between now and kickoff. Not that I’m ever comfortable with that when it happens but it is going to happen. 9.5 is where this game should be, and will be, by kickoff. And even then it’s still a big shiny hook. It’s a sucker bet.

ETA: UNC will be starting a freshman QB, any one of three, with a combined 1.5 starts among them. The highest rated of those three was the #27 rated pro style QB out of HS. Maybe a decent OLine, who knows. RBs .... they've got one pretty good RB that we know of, a second that is supposed to be decent, and Mack will definitely try to play ball control against Boom's defense by running the ball if he can.

UNC`s DLine will consist of 2 upperclassmen and 8 freshmen and sophomores none of which who are, or were, very highly touted. Their entire defense is expected to be questionable this year. They lost a lot. They'll be starting a young inexperienced corner and safety against Bentley and his WR Corp. They have two decent LBs but no depth after that.

I'm not here to prove anyone wrong, much less bookmark a post.

I'm an objective college football fan and the value is with the Tar Heels +7.5. UNC could win the game.

SC hasn't done much since Spurrier and I have no reason to think Muschamp puts you in a good position to win a pivotal game.
