Imagine how insulted everyone is going to be when they see my Mac Jones "U Mad Bro?" avatar. I love and also worry about you.

It's not complex. I'm just an Alabama fan. I don't really have favorite players as much as I do a favorite team.

So with the "you mad" icon, you were pretty much mocking the entire board, or at least the folks that were supporting the current quarterback. So have you come around to supporting the current guy, or do you still resent it?

Seems like opposing views but let us not derail this thread.

You are right, were right, and will always be right. I also think Mac Jones should start.

but Mac Jones is a current member of this team. I don't suppose a player has to be a starter to be one's "favorite" player, as odd as it kind of seems to me to have favorite players. I will note, however, that I do hold Josh Jacobs in pretty high regard. He just stuck around, never complained about playing time or starting, never bitched to the media, and did his job, very well I may add.

Darn it.

Yes. Ruggs and Jeudy are going first round barring catastrophic injury. Devonta is top 50 prospect, but you have guys like Laviska Shenault who teams will drool over coming out too. So we could have 3 wr's in the top 60 picks.

assuming none of our Ol come out the starting five could all be back next year. Brown would be considered a 6th starter along with Womack a 7th

I agree that Juedy is a mortal lock for the first round, top 5 barring injury. Ruggs I would be more cautious. It depends on how many teams need WRs and who comes out, combine performances etc. Shenault is probably a lock as the second receiver off the board and there are guys like Tee Higgins and Ceedee Lamb and the kid from TCU who teams are going to look at. He is definitely a first round talent in my opinion but it may end up being close for him if not a lot of teams are looking for WRs in the first. Realistically Devonta probably isn't a first coming out this year.

Speaking of Shenault did anybody read the article where he talks about being recruited by Alabama? He was like Josh Jacobs in that his recruitment picked up late and Alabama was one of the few teams after him at the end. He said he visited and it didn't feel right but he could have been in the same class with Juedy, Ruggs and Smith. Insane.

Ruggs has record breaking speed, he will jump to the top 10 at the combine. We are talking olympic class sprint speed.

I don't care it was southern miss... those were 4.4/4.5 corners who got roasted with him having to re-accelerate.

Only 3 of 8 fastest 40 wr times in combine history were first round picks. Don't get me wrong guys like Will Fuller and John Ross make the first round, but his speed is no guarantee of it and top 10 is unlikely. However I am more than willing to buy you a popeye's chicken sandwich if you are right.

he has the best hands of the three, is the fastest, and is honestly as a good a route runner as Jeudy. He may not be the technician that Jeudy is, but rewatching, I don't see anything wrong with how he runs routes or sets up corners on breaks. I genuinely believe that he is the best WR in the country and if Jeudy wasn't here Ruggs wins the Belitnekoff last year.

I will admit though, me saying top 10 as of right now is me projecting how highly I view him.

This isn't true. Smith is viewed as having the best hands

That's fair, I'm thinking of the one hand catch against Tennessee and just how smoothly he catches the ball in stride, but yeah thinking about it, devonta has the surest hands for a Bama Wr since Norwood.

Ruggs reminds me of Jerry Rice. His ability to run routes, get open, and explode after he catches it. Also a lot of finesse. Jeudy reminds me of T Owens. Hits his route hard and not concerned about contact. His ability to break a tackle never deters him away from contact or avoiding a congested area.

Not saying they will end up with careers like those guys but they remind me of their play styles.
