Bama Spring Break starts at 5pm on 3/10 and runs through 3/19, so if things play out as usual, the first practice should be 3/10, with the second on 3/20 when everyone is back from Spring Break

Oh we know Saban expects the players to keep up with their workout during spring break. We rarely saw players going somewhere for fun during the break.

Alabama Football’s Biggest Position Battles Heading Into the 2023-24 Season (SI)

With returning veterans and highly-touted freshmen, the Crimson Tide will have plenty of competition leading into the new season.

What the Alabama Depth Chart Might Look Like at the Start of Spring: All Things CW (SI)

The Crimson Tide is in the middle of the Fourth Quarter conditioning program, and is just under a month away from holding its first spring practice.

I think Armstrong could possibly be the DC here in another year or two (just don't see longevity from Steele). I'd think long and hard about going to Gainesville and jumping on a very unsteady ship.

The fact that Saban is chewing out an off the field staffer like this is hopefully indicative of the "make his arse quit" Saban we've been missing the last several year.

I guess it comes down to the old bird in hand adage. He had the possibility to impress Saban enough to be Steele's eventual replacement, or he could become the co-DC/play caller at UF now.

He's never worked with Saban before so there is a possibility that they don't mesh down the line, but he has worked with Napier so he knows what he is getting into with him. And yeah, there's a chance that Napier doesn't last long at UF, but even if that is the case Armstrong will still have DC experience at a top SEC school under his belt (not to mention the significant pay raise he'll be getting) added to the fact that he was already seen has a big up and coming coach. So I'm sure finding a job after his UF gig won't be an issue for him.

I admit that I was pretty excited to see what he could do at Bama, but I also understand that it's hard to turn down the DC position at UF when you are currently just a LB coach.

Maybe he becomes a secondary coach now that Armstrong is gone.

Is he officially going to Florida? Haven't seen that.

Stephen M Smith is an absolute clown.

Not thrilled about Armstrong jumping to UF; was excited to see what he could do for us.

Shaun Dion Hamilton he was a very smart instinctive player and played in the NFL so not that bad of a choice actually
