This is a horrible post and supports why we are in this situation.

You keep referencing last year when so many factors have changed.

What is consistent?

Our OC and QB.

Our QB is supremely talented with his shortcomings known and accepted; he needs to run more, run confidently out of the pocket and work accuracy with his deep balls.

None of those reasons are why we are so inconsistent offensively, can't adapt well or lack creativity in play creation and utilization of all the talent we amass.

Our OC is that problem.

Well more like Saban. He needed to let BOB go and he made him stay.

Don't know if BOB is the problem or not. OL can not block for the second straight year.

Doesn't matter how many times you repeat this nonsense, then upvote your post and downvote people who disagree.

BOB is a major issue and the faster he is gone and replaced the better.

He doesn't play to this teams strengths and he doesn't know how to creativity get the most from the talent.

And yet, we might call 1-2 bootlegs or designed rollouts for our mobile QB over the course of an entire game.

Hey man that is the players job not the guy getting paid to gameplan and strategize routes and contingencies for offensive production so we can be victorious.

We gotta get Harrel out there. Without speed to take the top off and keep a defense honest… Bryce will be blitzed every other play

We do… but it takes time to learn how to use the track speed at this level. Harrel is proven

seems to me that ever since we went to this new era of s&c, the ol hasn't been able to block diddly doo especially in the run game. couple that with saban's softer side of coaching, which he admitted to a year or two ago in an interview. boom, inconsistent performance, from everyone.

its been a great ride! question is, can it be fixed? or do we simply ride it off into the sunset...

Bama held on to the #1 spot in the Coaches poll. I believe they drop in the AP.

Shoulda dropped us to 3 behind UGA and OSU.

ETA: the AP moved them from NR to 21

Looking at the team’s performance yesterday, it was on the coaches and players, in that order. I have never seen Will Anderson play that badly, let me first get that out of the way.

Our OC will not or cannot make adjustments in game. We do not play to our strengths, offensively, and the next time he schemes some of our receivers open will be the first time. Houdini like quarterback play is the only reason we didn’t have four more losses last year, and one already this year. I was very disappointed in Burton’s performance yesterday. Harrell and his speed are hopefully a tonic for this offense. The OL remains an issue; however it’s the only position offensively, other than rb, where I feel we have a coach that can get the problems fixed. We have too much talent offensively to look that ineffective. The fourth down run from the shotgun needs no comment on how bad it was.

Defensively, we have a defense that most likely has the second most talent of any defense under Coach Saban (2016). However, as long as we have Pete Golding as a coordinator, we will have a good defense at best.

Our OC and DC are both subpar coaches. Our players were not focused yesterday, and were not ready to play; that is squarely on the coaches. It is the norm for a team to get up for us; we have a huge bullseye on our back, but we looked like we were a team yesterday that did not deserve to be even ranked. All of these problems are correctable, I just question whether the coaching staff we have is able to fix them. I still believe in Coach Saban, and I have seen him calm in tight games and show frustration in blowouts. As a fan, I sure would like to see him verbally put a foot on a coach’s rear again like he used to. Overall guys, we can still achieve our goals, but we have a long way to go.

Sounds like most of the Bama fans need to pull up their panties

Lucky as hell to get a win for sure.

I know it it is not a popular opinion on here but we have missed on our OL evaluations … we have signed some high 4 star and 5 star players but several needed to add/lose weight and just haven’t gotten up to speed as quickly as some of our past linemen like Robinson, Leatherwood, Neal etc . Just got to get them ready

I agree. Some folks vehemently disagreed with me when I mentioned the 5 star Brockermeyer looks to be a bust. Well, in the past by now the 5 star OL we've recruited in the past were starters by now. I'm wondering if either Brockermeyer will ever be a starter. With the way we've recruited the OL we shouldn't have had to go get the Steen kid out of the portal if not for misevaluations.

BOB out there running a bunch of slow crossing routes

Well, one thing is for certain. When playing a road game, we're bound and determined to let the snap count get down to less than one second before we snap it. This has mostly been a 2021-22 thing. The defenses have been (obviously) timing the snap count and just teeing off on that crap. It's absolutely mystifying why we continue doing it. We're the only team I see doing it consistently.
We need to get back to playing with some tempo, having an aggressive mindset, and taking it to the other teams on the road instead of playing on our heels and calling everything within a few yards of the line of scrimmage. There's over a year's worth of data that shows us that that simply isn't working.
