Does Georgia Southern still run the option or was that Georgia St?

Southern ran the old school under center triple option under Monken (and was famous for it before that), then Monken left for Army. Then Fritz came in and they ran a shotgun/spread option attack that was extremely heavy run (he's at Tulane now). Then they were a disaster for a few years with Summers, but now they are pretty good again and run the full on triple option but they do it out of the shotgun.

Their new coach really turned things around for them in a hurry. Two seasons ago they were 2-10, last year they went 10-3 in the most stacked (this sounds so odd) G5 division in college football.

Looks like they run some Skee-gun out of the pistol and triple option out of the shotgun mostly. Its not the traditional under center flexbone but they have the folks to give them some giddy up and go. Fortunately LSU has the speed on the perimeter to slow down a Skee-gun attack.

LSU will win but I would not surprised if GSU makes the Bayou Bengals absolutely miserable for a half.
