The BIG difference between surtain and Ricks is that surtain NEVER actually COMMITTED to LSU. No matter how big a lock he was suppose to be surtain NEVER pulled the trigger. Ricks DID.
As for Ricks, you said take him at his word about not living in BR. Well take him at his word about the only way he won't be in BR for the 2020 season is if there's a coaching change.

Well whether or not you live somewhere is pretty black and white. So yeah I believe him when he says he and his family doesn't live in baton rouge.
But he can change his mind though on the whole "coaching change" thing whenever he wants. Changing your mind isn't lying. And changing his mind is clearly on the table. The Ricks family is taking two visits to Alabama, one of them out of their own pocket.
He's obviously not locked into lsu.
