Not sure I would include him. He played well as a true freshman then got caught in the middle of the squabble between Nutt and Malzahn. He wisely chose to transfer, but foolishly chose to transfer to USC, who had two NFL QBs in Sanchez and Barkley on the roster. But he was still considered a very talented and capable backup.

He went 8-0 as a starter and had the Hogs nationally ranked before things truly melted down between Nutt and Malzahn.

Now, from what I have heard from folks who knew him back then, Mitch was a world class douche bag in high school and college, but that doesn't detract from his talent. If he had gone to almost any other FBS school at that time he'd have been a starter.

Since we are talking about the biggest bust who didn't work out at the school... Arkansas had a porn star come to school and she had a melt down within a few months and left I believe. A former Miss Teen Colorado I think? Anyway she probably has to fall somewhere in the discussion of biggest bust.

That whole situation was fricked-up.

But, the name that first comes to my mind is Gary Brashears, Jr. Parade All-American QB in I believe 1999.
