Is it Russell Sheppard that was a big time recruit, failed at LSU, but made it on an NFL team?

I wouldn't say he failed at LSU, we just were never able to find a position for the 5 star to strive in, he was a decent reciever

Yeah. I’d consider him a QB bust. But the dudes still playing in the NFL as a WR.

Shepard, 1 P.

Yeah, I was about to list him. He was recruited as a QB, was chased by Texas, USC, Michigan, and Florida in addition to LSU. Was considered the #3 athlete that class, and he was alongside Matt Barkley as the top QB that year.
Coming in, we thought he was probably going to start game one.

I don't think he EVER saw the field as a QB. Caught on in the NFL as a WR/special teams guy.
