Ultimately Texas wants the DB to put teams in a box but some teams do that to themselves and it benefits Texas.
Completely agree. Texas is so much better defensively against the run when a team isn’t completely spread out. Texas did an awesome job against ISU, UGA, Kansas, and K State (although I don’t know how good they were at rushing the ball).
Those are different offensive styles than Tech, OU, Baylor, etc.
And Texas was even really good against Ou the second time around.

The problem with LSU going to spread formations is that sometimes it is difficult to run the ball out of these formations between the tackles.
I think Emery is a player who can bounce outside like Travis Etienne.
Clemson's rushing attack and OL is totally different than what LSU has showed in the past.
Ohio St is a perfect example last year.
The difference is that LSU has a running QB.
Burrow is probably the player that scares Texas the most with his throwing and running ability.
