re: Offseason game discussion and predictions #2 : LSU vs Texas

In the first game Oklahoma's outburst was based on confusion in the 4th quarter based on Kyler Murray.

Texas did a better job than probably anyone for 3+ quarters especially in the second half but Oklahoma exploded for 21 points in 8 minutes.

The second game was Texas let them get the lead and Oklahoma was a much different team with a lead.

WV was based on Brandon Jones plus Will Grier.
Grier is going to be a great NFL QB.
Jones was injured but some of those throws made by Grier were NFL level.
This opened up their running game and other plays because Texas had to respect their vertical passing game.

Same with Oklahoma State.
Texas had to play with their safties back.

Both teams went vertical on Texas.

I saw where someone said that Texas is better against those teams.
That is so far from the truth. Texas is much better against teams who want to put themselves in a box.

Ultimately Texas wants the DB to put teams in a box but some teams do that to themselves and it benefits Texas.
