They seem plenty nice but not an original thing about any of them.

My first thought at the time of the hire was sheesh, the elephant nuts on kirby. That he apparently wants complete authorship of willing this team to a NC

But then again, maybe spending several seasons alongside lane kiffin will bend someone toward surrounding yourself with diehard subordinates rather than "boy wonder" types that challenge your authority every minute of the day

Bobos offense was too hard for run, ran up huge stats on outmanned teams, and disappeared in big moments.

Not using Gurley in short yardage against SCU was equally as moronic as the Isiah Mackenzie play against Vandy.

Disagree there, he could make a case for the best OC we've ever had. I don't think there was anything wrong with his offense.

this whole thing is so overblown. It was 1st and goal at the 4 and we're down 3. The 1st down call was fine because I'm sure SC, like you and everyone else, was expecting Gurley so play action was a fine call. It's not Bobo's fault that Mason called for intentional grounding and the OL got zero protection on the play. On 2nd we gave it to gurley and on 3rd we threw it to gurley. Then Morgan missed a damn 25 yard FG.

impossible, that was one of the dumbest playcalls I've seen in my life.

Our coaching staff lost us a national championship. They deserve more criticism from Dawg fans than they've gotten.

Da fuq you talking about? We played 5 top 25 teams in '14 and beat 4 of them by an average of 27 points. You wanna talk about '13 and beating 2 of the top 12 teams of country with offense.

WLOCP needs to end so the East can gain equal footing with the West. It doesn't make sense for the two best East teams to have significant less recruiting opportunity than everyone else.

Richt should have gotten another year.

I thought so at the time, but now I know better. I just remember being kind of stunned while watching NFL games the Sunday he was canned and seeing the breaking news crawl across the bottom of the screen.

that is unpopular, and I'm not just saying that because of what we know now. Serious question, what was it in December of 2015 that made you think he needed another year?

wow there are some fantastic unpopular opinions in this thread. not liking the lone trumpeter or the munson monologue is fricking beyond crazy.

if you don't follow all georgia sports, then i dont care what you think about any of them. this probably isnt all that unpopular on here (a message board typically enlists your biggest fans) but im tired of listening to people tell me how big of a georgia fan they are and then not knowing a lick about any other sport.

For years, the cupcake games that they always played... it was awful to go to those games. Thank god they have been scheduling better opponents.

Agree. I would have given it to Gurley 3 times, but I see what Bobo was trying to do.

It also didn’t help that the intentional grounding call was atrocious. Ball was deflected by the defender so it ended up no where near the intended receiver. If the ref doesn’t miss that it’s still 2nd and goal from the 4.

The same old stuff that was talked about then. Good man, no scandals, 10-wins a year on the average, and I was kinda worried about turning over this program to a guy that had never been in on the offensive side as a coordinator. I kinda felt like UGA owed it to him to see if he could do better in 2016 because of all the good he had done. Kirby's 2016 season made me keep on thinking like that, too. But then, 2017 happened, and you know what they say...winning cures everything.
Miami's tailspin in 2017 also made me realize that CMR was pretty much burned out. You go from #2 in the playoff picture to losing at Pitt...losing the ACC Title Game, and then getting embarrassed in a Bowl.

And if Nick Chubb hadn't missed the block on the guy who made the stop, Mackenzie, at the least, gets the first down. At best, he scores. There wasn't anyone left on the play side to catch him, either. He probably scores. At worst, we get a FG and win by a slim margin.

only reinforces the utter retardation of the call. Take the ball away from the best RB on the team and have him block an AA linebacker, and give it to a 5'8" 160 pounder. Behind the line of scrimmage. Going left to right.

There is honestly no way to defend that call.
