They need to leave that poor guy alone and let him do his job. 5 losses would just motivate him. He would deserve a raise if that's the case.

Auburn will go 10-3 this year with a win over one of Bama or Georgia, maybe even both.

It's what Gus does.

Depends on the losses. Were they blowouts? Close games etc..

And it depends on who they lose to.

It’s odd year Auburn, they’re gonna go 11-1 and beat Alabama and Aubie fans will love him again

IF things start to click, as much as it would frustrate me, Auburn has an athletic defense and some promising young talent at QB. They always have stupid straight line speed at WR, too. I do think their weakness will be depth, and that is hard to form, so we shall see. It's a toss up, just like most years.

I forgot to answer the question: 5 losses would warrant a firing, but I'm not sure of the contract situation. Who knows how that would be handled, money does odd things to a lot of minds.

Yep. There's no way he survives another 8-5 season.

We are such a diverse athletic program. Our tolerance is a bit more than schools who only excell at one sport. He will be here a while.

He will get fired on September 29th after a 24 point loss at home to the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

He will then proceed to get into the restaurant industry by purchasing a couple of Gus's World Famous fried chicken restaurants. I think we see him on SEC network some too. He'll be good at post game analysis, but not pregame analysis.

No, the GusBus will continue to roll in 2020 if the 2019 team loses 5 games.

Guaranteed, just like 75% of that $50M contract.

If he didn't have the contract he has now, there is absolutely no way he stays after losing 5.

He does have that contract, though. Even so, it seems every time I think "there's no way [insert university] has enough funds to pay for something like that" I get proved wrong.

GusBus loses at least 5. But he will keep his job. Auburn is a young team which needs time to get their cleats under them. 20 or 21 should be their year.

Plus they can’t afford the buy out.

Who are the 5?

All over 14 point losses?

I’m not predicting a stellar year due to the young QBs. If we don’t look fricking completely lost and actually compete in tough games he’ll be retained for 1 more year. If we suck dick again he’s toast.
