I agree he played a mistake free game. He managed the game, did his job, and you couldn't really ask for him to do more.

But it wasn't even close to being somekind of all-time-great performance that some people make it out to be because they look at the scoreboard.

If I am wrong, I await the images. I expect at least the 1 really good pass he made, and then also that crazy good catch Ross made. But outside that you will basically either have a bunch of quick slant passes, or passes to guys who are wide open. If you go and count his time in the pocket, you'll see he often times had plenty of time because it's like we don't know what the hell a blitz is(I bet Pruitt was cursing).

And Tua's mistakes probably did lose that game. Once again you have to give credit to the Clemson coaching staff, they were prepared and knew exactly how to exploit him. I put that a good bit on our coaching staff, our offense was not prepared. Their coaching staff has their QB abusing Savion Smith's coverage and Mack Wilson's bad angle taking, and our coaching staff leaves easy tells for plays like the pick6, where the guy literally cheated on the play knowing what was coming.

Clemson's coaching staff took Alabama's coaching staff to the woodshed. We did not lose because of QB play as the OP suggests.

I will agree with you on the fact that Clemson’s staff did a great job preparing them and it wasn’t just QB play that was the difference.
