That's true, there are.

But what about people who open carry during daylight hours in the suburbs? I see that more and more nowadays.

I believe that there's actually two schools of thought on the subject. Some people want to be able to carry a weapon for protection, but don't want people to know they're armed, while there are some who believe the best deterrent to potential confrontation is theshow of force....sort of like our sending the fleet over to the Strait of Hormuz to "remind" our Iranian friends not to come too close to the flame.

If it truly bothers you, avoid really small towns. It's a lot more prevalent there, per capita- and no one bats an eye.
