I do find some deep irony that the fanbase who prides themselves on making really annoying noises with cowbells is annoyed by another fanbase’s really annoying noises

Seriously, you are comparing cowbells to the whistler?
The cowbells have been a tradition since the 1930’s-1940’s. The way it is set up nowadays makes them a much less of an annoyance to opposing fans. So I get it that other fans don’t like them but they are in a different stratosphere compared to the whistler.

The only way it is compare that would be to have one guy in each section of the football stadium incessantly ringing a cowbell for the entire football game. That would never happen. See, not anywhere near the same.

This from the fanbase that prides itself on bourbon bottle throwing and being out in a pile of their own vomit each game?

Cowbells aren't a thing at baseball games. There are usually a few in the outfield but nothing during play. If this jackass only whistled between innings nobody would care.

But, if there was 1 cowbell at every State game, and everybody who ever noticed it was annoyed by it, I guaran-damn-tee you that it would be silenced and not heard from again. That's why you can't listen to those Vandy fans who pretend to not love the guy. They embrace his annoying schtick. At least a few are starting to admit it
