The smart $ has got to be on Oregon...known commodity. With Auburn bringing in a brand new QB, either a RFR or a FR, that's going to be a very tough way to start a career under the big lights of Jerry-world.

That said, we all like what we saw from the 2 contenders, both 5* guys...one very much in the mold of Cam Newton (although I don't think anyone feels like he has a Heisman/NFL 1st round arm) and Bo Nix who would be more like a Kyler Murray...very athletic, not very big, great combination of dual threat talent, etc.. AU's offensive line is supposed to be much improved and has one of the top WR units in the country. Our starting RB, Boobie Whitlow started his first year last year and we all feel very good about him, as well as a couple of change of pace, 3rd down type backs in Kam Martin and Shaun Shivers...and DJ Williams is probably the 2nd every down back type.

Whitlow played well against Washington last year. If the offensive line can block and we are able to run the ball, we will be OK. The other factor is what Bio laid out with the defensive line VS Oregon offensive line. We need to generate some pass rush to keep them from passing downfield. That was a weak spot for us last year

Compared to Gatewood, Nix is smaller. Nix, however, is over 6' tall and now weighs @ 215. He is plenty big.
