At the end of the day, I think you can be a fan of any team you want to root for in any sport. Most people will pick a team on a good run or a team with a great player. It is human nature.

There is no litmus test nor any entrance requirements. It’s entertainment.

I was for Auburn well before I ever went to college there.
My son is a much bigger Auburn fan than I.
He is attending a different college.
I don’t think he is less interested than I am.
In fact, I think he is more interested in watching the games than I am at this point in my life.

I am a die hard Auburn fan because I went to school there. Like someone else said, if they dropped sports completely I would still be a huge fan of the school.

Outside of Auburn, I don't really follow any other teams other than the casual bandwagon jumping when the Atlanta teams are good. I like watching NFL and NBA Playoffs because of the caliber of athleticism, but I really don't care who wins.
