In reality, a change is coming. If TAMU builds to a national program, you can't have 4 powers in one division, and UGA in the other. A decade is a good point to reevaluate.

There is also Florida. The missing piece for the east and the reason everyone says "we're down" is Tennessee. If Tennessee gets anything going (something Lyle came close to achieving), then there are 3 powers in the East. Then you have to have 4 in one if A&M ever becomes relevant. Makes much more sense to leave that possible east/west power to where they belong. For Auburn that's the West

A&M will beat AU and LSU more in the next 10 years than they will lose

The issue with this idea is the fact that you think

A) That Auburn is a national power
B) That Texas A&M could ever become one
