Fields had very few negative plays. He never turned the ball over and was rarely sacked. It's hard for a good team to lose if the QB has very few negative plays.

The vitriol expressed by some UGA fans would be better directed at Fields' authoritarian cop father who wanted his son to play for Florida State.

I liked Fields just fine as a player but he was a cancer in the locker room due to lack of playing time.

You could tell it affected the team but we were so talented we still won games.

Exactly. I just saw the Manning documentary, and the contrast between some of these sports parents and Archie couldn't be more stark.

The kid is a kid. He played well last year, and I think he'll play well this year.

Every time we mention him like he's some kind of UGA rival we look small as hell. This team is better than his. Our QB is better than him. Let's be happy with that and move on.

Well, he could have sent him there....FSU hasn't signed a QB in 2 recruiting cycles under Taggart, but they have had one QB transfer in. That one has nowhere near the potential skill level of Fields, however.
