Incentivize it all you want youre still asking students to chose a 40 point blowout with no beer, no other games, overpriced food, in 90 degree weather over watching all the games, with beer, with cheaper food, in comfortable conditions

That late season rent-a-win doesn't bother me so much. A good time to heal up the team and give the reserves some PT.
But one of those early sacrificial lambs could be done away with. And they don't have to be an OSU/OU level opponent. Something along the lines of NC State/Iowa State/Colorado would be a matchup we would all rather watch than Directional Tech.
