Exactly. He has lobbied to get a 9th game, but it panned by the rest of the conference. We have played the same basic schedule for a very long time. In their early years, that stadium was always packed from beginning to end. The students just got used to winning and don’t feel like showing up for a OOC game that we are favored by 25+. I think that this is a step in the right direction, but I don’t know how they will be able to verify whether they leave or stay.

It may have more to do with an increasingly out-of-state student body that couldn't care less about Alabama football.
