Our “hitting coach” is a volunteer former player. That’s where much of the criticism comes from. One of our paid assistants is Allan Dunn. No complaints there. The other paid assistant is Nolan Cain who, by all accounts, is a great recruiter, but doesn’t really bring anything to the table coaching wise. This has forced us to hire volunteer hitting coaches and, well, you get what you pay for.
Just to clarify, I’m not advocating for Paul to be fired, but changes need to be made.
