LSUHobNailBoot, travel ball is definitely an expensive hobby/lifestyle. My niece plays 14U travel ball and is also based out of Georgia. She pitches and plays 1st for her team. I remember when my niece started playing 8 or 10U. I never really thought she would have the chance to play in college, but I was shocked at how much better she has gotten over the years! When you start seeing college coaches watch it is a really proud moment. With the right coaching and organization backing her, you would be surprised what these coaches can do. I don’t think a lot of people really understand the weight of travel ball compared to rec or school ball. Colleges may look at school ball, but coaches come out in full force to watch these travel ball tournaments/showcases. My niece started out on a no name team and kept working her way up. If your daughter works hard and has the ability, all you can do is push her! Softball is such a fun sport to watch. It’s a much faster game and some of the girls are amazing athletes!

GeorgiaDawg. Well said and thanks for the info.

I actually find myself watching softball on my own when its on TV. They are amazing athletes.

She has some excellent coaching in her corner and yes the step up in Travel ball from even School ball has been amazing.
She is in 12U (She just turned 13) so we have a ways to go. She has skills for sure, not the fastest kid on the planet sadly got her fathers sloth like speed.
But she hits it a mile because she is a big kid of her age and her hitting coach was an All American at Tennessee and man she has made her SO much better, works her hard.

So long she is loving it and having fun and most of all giving it her 100% effort we will continue to make that investment in her in time and money...
