I agree that soccer is an acquired taste, which I'm still working on, but here's what changed my mind. I knew American soccer was bad, but if your exposure is MLS and the occasional world cup when we're in it (like mine was before), that's not a real game. Like, I don't even think MLS is the D-league of soccer. It's more like the wooden bat college leagues.

Here's my progression, for what it's worth. My oldest was on a Liverpool sponsored team years ago. 5 or 6. He's a fan of Liverpool, by default so am I. Then I realized that EPL is actually really entertaining and there are constantly games! Couple that with on our cable we get Bundesliga all the time and La Liga for big games. The quality is amazing. Sprinting at full arse speed and keeping a ball 3 feet from you is hard enough, but to watch their ability is nuts.

The buildup from the back can be boring at times, and sitting on a 1-0 game with defense is the same as watching Muschamp call run after run after run to punt, but there are usually as many big and exciting plays as in most sports.

And I kind of have the same feeling for Golden State. Something is off and it seems like the era maybe in the death rattles. The West may have some powerhouses, but the East will have some solid series I think.

Soccer st 10am is always a plus too.
Game is over by 1145 and you have the rest of the day

I’ll take that over anything else

Y'all should follow Spurs like me. They've got a rooster as a mascot, haven't won much in the way of titles and constantly disappoint the fans when they have a chance to take the next step. It's a seamless transition from being a Carolina fan.
