So only scoring is involved in freshman of the year award. Rebounding and defense have no say in it at all

Where does this stat even come from?

Joe has started all 30 games, averages 30.2 minutes per game, which is second on the team. He has also taken the most shots on the team and is second on the team in scoring at 14.1 ppg.
