Being from Baton Rouge I love visiting New Orleans, but I couldn’t see myself living there

I cringe when I have to visit.
For cities I only visit them if I could “see myself living there”

Sorta O.T., but I'd love to take a week long vacation in Louisiana.
Only I'd like to spend about a week in some of those oddball little towns I know gotta be there.
No New Orleans/Baton Rouge. All I ask are motels, even indi ones, that aren't clerked by Norman Bates.
Made it to Key West, now I want to make it to Plaquemines Parish.
Oh yeah, and Louisiana has to have beaches on the Gulf. I cannot think of a single picture of one I have ever seen.
