I mean i think it’s an overrated city and should be avoided during the summer

I agree. If I never go to New Orleans again it will be too soon

Being from Baton Rouge I love visiting New Orleans, but I couldn’t see myself living there

You just need a local to steer you away from the tourist traps. But I feel you on the summer thing. I walked 4 measly blocks in downtown New Orleans this morning, in February, and I was soaked in sweat. 73 degrees but 110% humidity.
