You have a pretty loose definition of what being from Texas means.

Shaq went to high school there, but was born in New Jersey and grew up in Germany. Roger Clemens grew up in Ohio, and didn't move to Texas until he was 15 or 16. Clyde Drexler was born in New Orleans. Ricky Williams is straight up from California and didn't move to Texas until college.

Oh -- and Johnny Manziel shouldn't be on anyone's "greatest athlete" list. LOL.

Clemens was in junior high when he moved to Houston. Clyde was born in NO, but his entire childhood was Houston. Shaq was born in NJ, but grew up overseas, and moved to Texas at 15. What state has more right to claim him than Texas?
