Why is Odom melting so publicly?

I know it’s probably already been covered but why is Odom (Mizzou head FB coach for those of you not aware of who he is) melting so publicly over a coach or two trying to poach a couple of his seniors?

It’s SOP and it’s not against NCAA rules once you’ve been placed on bowl probation.

Okay so I get the part about Kelly Bryant and all, but who else are they (specifically Proot at UTk) trying so desperately to poach?

This is not a good look for either head coach honestly. Odom vs Proot ... it’s getting ugly quickly.

And why won’t any of the SEC coaches return Odom’s damn calls? Show the man some iota of conference decorum for gosh’s sake.

He just went 8-5 with the best player to ever step foot in Columbia, it’s all downhill from here and I think he knows it

I’d be curious to know if they contacted any Ole Miss players when they became available.

It happens. It’s going to happen even more with the new transfer rules.

I would be unhappy if I was coaching Missouri, too.

It's pretty damn disrespectful to not even notify the guy or even call him back. I don't blame him for being salty.

But, he says it himself, "Penn State, Ole Miss, Missouri, we're all in the same boat" Yep, busted

So, beside UT what other SEC schools are pursuing his players?

He has a point. Tennessee’s coaches are acting cowardly.

"You combine that with somebody that -- who'd we beat 51-17 this year? Tennessee? Yeah, those guys. They are non-stop reaching out daily [saying], 'Hey, come here.'"

Does Missouri have any good players that anyone would want?

Well, it is understandable he's upset. His team just became an all you can eat buffet. That is never something you want to have happen on your watch.

He'd do the same thing if the situations were reversed but he has a duty to do all he can to keep their team intact. It sucks but without a 'stay away from other SEC team's players' clause it's going to happen and all of our coaches would be fricking up if they didn't go out and kick the tires on players that can transfer.
